Open Access Asia (OAA) is an initiative designed to increase awareness among early career researchers, professors, research managers, and policymakers on the importance of providing free availability of publicly funded research in Asia.

OAA's mission is to develop a comprehensive electronic database that provides the academic community with access to legitimate, open-access, peer-reviewed academic journals from across Asia, covering a range of disciplines, including the sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts, and humanities.
